Life is incredibly exciting and incredibly busy at the same time. There are so many things to do, to solve, to learn, to prepare… I sometimes wish that I can split myself into three persons. I was managed to do so for the picture, but in real life, we need some strategies which help us to work more efficient.

Here are some tips which can help us:

Have a good sleep

This tip must look very obvious. But it is not so easy (at least for me). When I hit my middle age, I started to have problems with sleeping. I had so many sleepless nights, which made me exhausted and not functioning correctly the next day. I have some routine, which is helping me to go to sleep quickly, and I’m taking Chinese medicine.

Made a plan

To know what is ahead of you today is exactly what get you ready. Designate enough time for each task and try to follow your plan.

Complete the important tasks first

Find the most important tasks to do and make them your priority. Once those tasks are done, you are already a winner. You can choose to continue with less critical tasks or leave it for tomorrow.

Focus on the task you are currently doing.

This tip is something for me again. It is easy to get distracted with the things that are around you – if you are working at home like me or you can distract yourself from thinking about other tasks ahead of you. Clear your head, nothing else exists, focus.

Don’t procrastinate

I’m very familiar with procrastination. I mastered it. And I hate it. I do it too often, just because I don’t know everything at the moment, or I’m afraid of how this project will be. Don’t let your fear stop you. Just start, and you learn along the way.

Excercise between the tasks

It is crucial to make a short break a do some exercise. I’m doing mostly on the notebook, so I’m sitting quite a long time. After such a break, your head is more clear, and you can continue. I’m doing this when I’m stuck with something. It seems that a short break with exercise is giving me a different perspective, and it is easier to solve a problem.

Say “NO”

Are you people-pleaser like me? I like to keep people around me happy. So I say “YES” too often, and this is not good for me. Focus on the essential things and learn to say “NO” it is not necessary to do or you are too occupied.

Do you have some other tips? Please, let me know in the comments below.
